When Eqcetera began, we knew we wanted to give back to organizations, causes, and communities that create change in our world. Through our site revenue, we are sometimes able to set aside days dedicated to these causes in order to give donations when they are needed most. We are pleased to be able to contribute to those who work to preserve wildlife, respond to those in need, and soon to be many more! Below is a list of those we have donated to and links to donation pages for you as well.
Eqceteras’ first donation was dedicated to Wildlife Victoria. Our donation was in response to the 2019/2020 Australia Wildfires in order to help fund Wildlife Victoria in their emergency response efforts. During this time, we decided to add the Brumby to the list of breeds in Eqcetera. 50% of the sales during the week of the Brumby release were donated to support Wildlife Victorias efforts. A total of $822.46 AUD was able to be donated to Wildlife Victoria. To learn more or donate to Wildlife Victoria you can view their website here.
Eqcetera was able to donate $210 from our 9-11-2020 donation day to HEART 9/11. HEART 9/11 is an emergency response team created by those who first responded to the attacks on September 11th, 2001. Their team was created to honor those lives lost by responding to communities after a disaster. In remembrance of those lost and those responding to the events of 9/11, Eqcetera will be donating 100% of game proceeds on 9/11/2020 to HEART 9/11. “HEART 9/11 (Healing Emergency Aid Response Team 9/11) is a team of first responders – FDNY, NYPD, PAPD and the NYC Building Trades – that bonded in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 to honor the sacrifices of brave colleagues and family members lost, to continue to utilize their experience and training in service to others and to bring a message of hope to communities affected by disaster. HEART 9/11’s mission is to Respond immediately to natural and man-made disasters; Rebuild community centers in hard-hit areas to meet grass roots needs; Recover by building resiliency for individuals, families and communities.” (Source: heart911.org) To learn more or donate to HEART 9/11 you can follow this link to their website.
